About the role
As a Fire Protection Engineer I in our Madison office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
Responsibilities
- Perform calculations, determine system sizing and layouts, select equipment, complete field surveys, and prepare shop drawings.
- Write specifications, participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and support construction-phase work.
- Gain project experience and take on greater responsibilities as you become more proficient.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace, Architectural, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Fire Protection or Mechanical).
- 2+ years of experience in fire suppression systems, fire alarm systems, and clean agent systems.
- Experience in computer operation for engineering calculation programs and ability to learn computer-aided drafting/BIM software.
- Understanding of applicable design codes, design standards and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them.
Qualifications
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE).
- AutoCAD experience.
- Revit Experience.
- Navisworks Experience.
