About the role

The ideal candidate should have a desire to work and grow as a team player within our Fire Protection department. This position will support the team in providing our clients with: automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and communication system design, code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis, as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in providing our clients with: automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and communication system design, code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis, as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.
  • Work closely with other engineers and professionals in the Fire Protection department to ensure project success.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of fire protection strategies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Perform detailed design work using drafting software such as REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Assist in code analysis and compliance with local and national building codes.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to the overall project team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Civil, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degrees will be considered.
  • Background working in the Fire Protection or Fire Alarm industry (preferred).
  • Experience with drafting software (REVIT and AutoCAD) (preferred).
  • General building construction knowledge (preferred).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on a high-functioning team.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position is full-time and requires employees to be in the office full-time to support active training and mentorship.
