Fire Protection Designer

Responsibilities

• Develop fire protection designs in support of various Buildings Business Line projects.
• Lead the planning, design, and commissioning of building fire protection systems, fire suppression systems, and fire alarm systems.
• Coordinate with other support disciplines and regional offices.
• Assist fire protection engineers in the design of building projects.
• Follow quality assurance and quality control plans.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of building fire protection design and construction experience.
• Knowledge of fire protection engineering principals related to building fire protection designs.
• Proven experience with fire protection designs, including detailed plans and specifications for building projects.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Preferred Skills

• NICET certification in Fire Protection.
• Experience with AIA MasterSpec.
• Knowledge of Federal Agencies design criteria.
