The TCBH Security Department is hiring for a Fire Prevention/Security Officer I or II.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and patrolling of buildings and grounds for elimination of fire hazards
• Enforcement of laws, rules and regulations
• Providing assistance to employees or visitors
• Performing other duties related to the protection of state property, employees, visitors and others

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Fire Prevention & Security Officer II: basic security and/or firefighter’s course and two years of experience in security or fire prevention and protection work
• Fire Prevention & Security Officer I: no education or experience requirements

Special Requirements

• Ability to pass an OSBI background check
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to fulfill job-related travel
• Upon conditional offer, submit to physical examination meeting requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 60 pounds and able to push/pull a maximum force of 30 pounds

Pay

• Fire Prevention & Security Officer II: $16.14 hourly or $33,580.00 annual
• Fire Prevention & Security Officer I: $15.18 hourly or $31,580.00 annual
• $0.50/hr shift differential for evening or night shifts
• $0.75/hr shift differential for weekend work

Schedule

• Primary working hours: 11:30 pm – 8:00 am
• Shift differentials apply for evening/night and weekend work as noted above
• Position requires 24‑hour, 7‑day coverage; hours and location may vary based on business necessity
• Employees may be required to work weekends and overtime
