Under the general direction of the Fire Marshal, this role performs fire and life safety inspections, fire investigations, public safety education, and other assignments within the Fire Prevention Bureau.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fire and life safety inspections
- Perform fire investigations
- Deliver public safety education programs
- Complete other assignments within the Fire Prevention Bureau
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Must obtain IFSAC or Pro Board Inspector I certification within one year of hire
- Must complete credentialed fire investigation training within one year of hire, as approved by the Fire Chief
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in education, fire prevention, or management
- Fire Inspector I and II certification
- IFSAC or Pro Board Officer I certification
- Fire and Life Safety Educator certification
- Instructor I and II certification
Pay
Starting salary: $102,923 per year
