About the role
The incumbent will be under the general direction of the Fire Marshal and will perform the following core functions: fire and life safety inspections, fire investigations, public safety education, and other assignments within The Fire Prevention Bureau.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license
- Be insurable
- Certified as an IFSAC or Pro Board Inspector I
- Successfully complete a credentialed fire investigation training within one year of attaining this position, as approved by the Fire Chief
- Successfully complete a fire inspection and investigation training within one year of attaining this position as approved by the Fire Chief
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, fire prevention, or management (preferred)
- Fire Inspector I and II (preferred)
- IFSAC or Pro Board Officer I (preferred)
- Fire and Life Safety Educator (preferred)
- Instructor I and II (preferred)
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of fire prevention and safety regulations
