Fire Life Safety Director - Hotel Building

About the role

The Fire Life Safety Director is responsible for ensuring the building's fire safety plan is implemented, managing the Fire Command Station, and supervising fire brigades, floor wardens, and building evacuation supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all life safety systems and related equipment are fully functional.
• Manage fire safety teams including Fire Wardens, Deputy Fire Wardens, and Building Evacuation Team members.
• Conduct fire alarm drills and maintain a written log of critiques.
• Provide clear direction, information, and assistance to clients in emergencies.
• Inspect visitor, vendor, and employee access badges/identification cards.
• Maintain surveillance and report on suspicious persons and packages.
• Perform CPR/AED and basic first aid if required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Licensed by the New York State Department of State.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Flexible to changing environments.
• Ability to handle pressure and high volume general public.

Qualifications

• Must possess a F85 or F89 Certificate of Fitness.
• Walk/stand for long periods of time.

Full Time, Workdays Available: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Work Shifts Available: Overnights.

Pay

Hourly Pay Rate: $23.00 / hour.
