Fire Inspector

About the role

Responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal fire codes and regulations. Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safety measures are in place.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and special inspections of buildings, structures, and facilities to ensure compliance with fire codes and regulations.
• Identify and report violations of fire codes and regulations to appropriate authorities.
• Provide training and education on fire safety and prevention to building occupants and staff.
• Develop and maintain records of all inspections conducted, including findings and recommendations.
• Respond to emergencies involving fires or other hazardous situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of fire codes and regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• First aid and CPR certification.

Pay

$50,000 - $60,000 annually based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with some evening and weekend shifts required.
