About the Role

Fire Fighter II-Paramedics are dual-role emergency responders who combine advanced emergency medical care with firefighting expertise to respond to California's diverse all-hazard emergencies. Serving in one of the nation's largest all-hazard emergency response organizations, you'll work alongside highly skilled professionals dedicated to protecting California's people, property, and natural resources.

Responsibilities

• Respond to a wide range of emergencies, including wildland fires, structure fires, vehicle accidents, rescues, and medical emergencies
• Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) care to those who need it most
• Work as part of a highly trained crew
• Protect California's communities, natural resources, and visitors every day

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid California driver’s license
• Current EMT-Basic certification
• Ability to pass a background check
• Pass a physical fitness test
• Pass a drug screening

Qualifications

• Completion of a firefighter academy program
• Completion of a paramedic program
• Experience in emergency medical services
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 annually

Schedule

Shift work schedule with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
