Responsibilities

  • Assists the responsible person in performing required duties for completion of install-related tasks for electronic product lines and standard electronic systems.
  • Observes the actions of the responsible person(s) and applies as directed.
  • Helps with installation of electronic systems, including start-up through final testing.
  • Follows verbal and written instructions, reads and understands complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities.
  • Carries/moves equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Performs work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet or more.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Picks up and properly disposes of all trash associated with work.
  • Wears appropriate safety equipment as required, including but not limited to hard hats and work boots.
  • May be required to work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer installation requirements.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
  • Submits required paperwork daily.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of fire alarm and/or security system experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Construction experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Successful completion of drug screen and background check.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an electrical trade preferred.
  • Low voltage experience is a plus.

Pay

Hiring hourly range: $21.01 - $28.89 (hourly rate to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
