In 2015, Jarrett Fire Protection, LLC was formed bringing on board innovative designers, a competitive sales team, and a prompt service team with 70+ years of experience in the fire protection industry. Our dedicated team can perform every step of the fire protection process beginning with the underground utility work to the fire system installation. Jarrett Fire Protection offers a variety of inspections and service repairs depending on the customer’s needs. We care about our customers continued safety and provide after installation care and servicing. About the role
Fire Alarm Service & Installation Technician
Responsibilities
- Install and program new Fire Alarm systems ensuring manufacture specifications are met
- Install cabling, field devices, and control according to the specifications
- Test and verify all supervisory, alarm, signaling, auxiliary, and panel functions for proper operation
- Must be able to read, review, and interpret CAD drawings, schematics, and vendor installation sheets
- Install and program security systems, CCTV systems, and access control systems
- Provide client instructions and demonstrate how to operate the newly installed system
- Service existing accounts
- Provide job status updates to all necessary departments
- Train and mentor junior installation technicians
- Maintain appropriate truck equipment and stock
- Adhere to all safety and compliance policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience with Fire Alarm installation, service, security, and maintenance.
- Experience with low voltage systems
- Experience with hand tools, volt meters, and tone generator
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
- NICET certification (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently and think critically
- Background checks
