Fire Alarm Systems Service Inspector
Position Location
This role supports our Charlotte, NC branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Charlotte, NC area.
About the Role
Our Entry Level Fire Alarm Systems Service Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will be responsible for the service and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems. You will ensure that components are inspected, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer. You will also identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements
- Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material
- Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
- Work alongside mentors, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications:
- Electro-mechanical Experience (either in a previous role or through education)
- User PC/software skill
- Must be willing and able to differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
- Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 18 months
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
- Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
- Ability to swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality
- 3+ years’ experience installing commercial fire alarm equipment
- Basic knowledge of NFPA 72 & 25

Pay
The pay range for this position is $42,340 - $72,583 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
