About the role

As an Associate Project Manager, you will support the Project Management team with the successful execution of projects, from initiation through final closeout. You will work in a matrix-style organization, requiring excellent coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. This customer-facing role keeps customer satisfaction at the forefront while managing large projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Support the project manager during all phases of the project, including milestone deliverables, documentation, case management, and financial aspects.
  • Develop and deliver monthly status reports, customer progress reports, change proposals, and presentations to management and stakeholders.
  • Drive final customer acceptance milestones, including completion of commissioning, acceptance, and closing financial documentation.
  • Organize and deliver small-scale projects, managing finance, schedule, change orders, and customer coordination.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with project and site teams.
  • Identify time-sensitive project needs, track resources, and monitor project progress.
  • Participate in and drive customer meetings, capturing notes during all project phases—from start to close and punch list meetings.
  • Capture punch lists from site commissioning and drive closure through coordination with field service technicians, customer care, project managers, factory personnel, and vendors.
  • Attend meetings with customers and the Siemens site team to provide progress updates on site punch lists.
  • Document project events impacting the acceptance schedule, scope of work, or project efficiency; identify solutions and review with the project manager to minimize schedule and cost impacts.
  • Orient project field service technicians and provide necessary documentation, including scope of work, drawings, specifications, and project contacts.
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
  • Ensure field service personnel review project documentation ahead of site visits.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups during project development.
  • Support completion of project-specific close-out documentation.
  • Own and drive all aspects of the close milestone processing to achieve timely and clean project quality gates.
  • Work in a team environment, providing dedicated support to customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • On-the-job or educational experience with fire alarm systems or related fields.
  • Ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings and customer specifications.
  • Project management or engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction industry experience.
  • Associate degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry.
  • Knowledge of local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60,476 - $103,673 annually, with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget, experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
