Fire Alarm System Mechanic

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for a Fire Alarm System Mechanic to provide support for our government customer in Oahu, Hawai’i.

Responsibilities

• Test, inspect, maintain, install, troubleshoot and repair various fire alarm and life safety systems, controls and equipment including addressable fire alarm and fire suppression systems with minimal supervision.
• Perform and complete all work and reports in accordance to applicable codes and site standard operating procedures in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• NICET Level I in Fire Alarm Systems (must obtain within 12 months of hire and be directly supervised by NICET II certified technician in Fire Alarm Systems).
• NICET Level II in Fire Alarm Systems (must obtain within 18 months).
• Two (2) years of experience in the fire alarm maintenance field.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Skills

• Working knowledge of solid-state and conventional control circuitry.
• Familiarity with basic mathematical functions as required.
• Extensive knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to interface with fire and life safety computer-based operating systems.

Pay

$55.60 per hour
