About the role

Convergint is seeking a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves servicing and programming fire alarm systems, contributing to a positive culture that values growth, accountability, and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the testing, programming, and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Service and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems according to local and national codes and company policies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to enhance overall operations.
• Work independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Stay updated on company policies and present a professional image at all times.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Technical skills and experience related to fire alarm systems.
• Programming skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude, including the use of various tools.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to travel to jobsites regularly, with minimal overnight travel.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a fire alarm service technician with experience in programming EST 3 or EST 4 (Edwards) fire alarm systems or similar complexity.
• NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm preferred.
• Possession of an Associates degree in Electronic technology, Instrumentation, or a related field.

Skills

• Customer service orientation.
• Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience in the commercial/industrial/low-voltage/electrical industry.
• Knowledge of local and national codes and regulations.

Pay

Hourly Range: $30.00 - $40.00

Schedule
