Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Fire Alarm Service Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves selling fire alarm contracts including service and small fire alarm jobs, establishing customer relationships, and managing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell fire alarm services and small fire alarm installation projects or remodels to contractors and end users within an assigned territory and accounts.
  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers by scheduling sales calls, following up with leads, and utilizing marketing strategies.
  • Build new business associates and relationships, and grow the fire alarm service business.
  • Identify, select, and develop new and existing customer accounts.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met and actively participate in quickly resolving customer problems.
  • Quote to customers for service and any follow-up impairments.
  • Perform customer surveys as required/requested.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relations.
  • Obtain all necessary licenses and certifications to perform job functions.
  • Execute monthly calls as assigned by management.
  • Complete proper scheduling and execution of monthly calls as assigned by management.
  • Enhance sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.
  • Read architectural and mechanical drawings and determine proper sprinkler locations for new construction and remodel projects.
  • Travel to customer and job sites as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience selling service contracts in the Fire Protection industry
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 72
  • Knowledge of industry standard practices for service and inspection
  • The ability to multi-task to the extreme
  • A valid driver's license and excellent driving record
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel) applications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstration of a positive attitude
  • The ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results
  • Building positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management
  • Demonstrating integrity and professionalism
