Responsibilities
- Possessing the ability to identify and qualify potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, referrals, and online research.
- Conducting thorough needs assessments and site evaluations to understand customers' fire protection requirements and tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Preparing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals that showcase the benefits and features of our products.
- Cultivating strong relationships with customers, contractors, engineers, property managers, and other key decision-makers in the fire safety industry.
- Preparation and negotiation of accurate and profitable contracts, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Maintaining a well-organized sales pipeline, tracking sales activities, and providing regular updates to management on progress and forecasts.
- Staying informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in fire protection to effectively advise customers and maintain a competitive edge.
- Providing exceptional pre-sale support to customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth transition during system implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborating closely with internal teams, including project managers, technicians, and customer service representatives, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining and exceeding sales targets and performance metrics set by management, demonstrating commitment to driving revenue growth and expanding Silco's market presence.
Qualifications
- A proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the fire protection and life safety systems industry.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with potential customers.
- A technical aptitude and a keen interest in learning about fire alarm systems, codes, and regulations.
- A self-motivated, results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as needed.
