Fire Alarm & Low Voltage Technician

About the role
Already working in electrical, telecom, or low voltage? Take your skills to the next level by learning one of the most specialized and in-demand segments of the industry: fire alarm and life safety systems. We're looking for a technician with experience in construction, electrical work, low voltage, telecommunications, maintenance, or cabling who wants to expand their technical expertise and build a long-term career. Previous fire alarm experience is not required. We'll provide training and mentorship to help you develop specialized skills that can accelerate your career growth.
Responsibilities
- Install and service fire alarm and low-voltage systems
- Pull, terminate, and test cabling
- Replace devices and assist with system upgrades
- Troubleshoot equipment and identify solutions in the field
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project drawings
- Support commercial and school renovation projects
- Maintain quality workmanship and safety standards
Requirements
- Experience in electrical, telecom, low voltage, maintenance, or construction
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools
- Ability to work independently and stay productive
- Valid driver's license
- Professional attitude and dependable work ethic

Pay
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Schedule
This is a Contract to Hire, fully onsite position based in North Charleston, SC.
