Fire Alarm Installer

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of maintaining, repairing, and installing conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of multi-meters and/or decibel meters.
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and operation/product manuals.
• Perform inspections and installation activities on electronic fire systems.
• Troubleshoot and make repairs unaided by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience in Fire Alarm systems.
• Electrical installation experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer interaction skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter who can work with minimum supervision.
• Pass criminal background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred).

Pay

Hiring hourly range: $19-$24 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).
