Fire Alarm Inspector

About the role

Responsible for inspecting fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and comply with local codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Document findings and provide recommendations for system improvements.
• Work closely with building management and contractors to address issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all inspections are conducted in accordance with established safety protocols and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fire protection or related field.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and other relevant fire safety codes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Skills

• Proficiency in using fire alarm inspection tools and equipment.
• Good understanding of electrical systems and wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Pay
