Fire Alarm Inspector

Duties
- Ensure all inspections are completed on a timely basis and accurately.
- Test all building Fire alarm control panels, devices, and functions.
- Enter test results into the Palm handheld device.
- Download information and generate a completed Fire Alarm Inspection Report.
- Participate in monthly team meetings.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification
- College degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent acceptable with acceptable experience.
- Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
- Stay current with code requirements, and industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Team environment, fire alarm experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in test equipment, networking PC skills, and physical demands.
Physical Requirements
- Industrial, commercial, and residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels.
- Standing, walking, climbing stairs, and climbing ladders.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
Pay Rate
$25 to $35 hourly based on experience.
