Fire Alarm Inspector

Duties

• Ensure all inspections are completed on a timely basis and accurately.
• Test all building Fire alarm control panels, devices, and functions.
• Enter test results into the Palm handheld device.
• Download information and generate a completed Fire Alarm Inspection Report.
• Participate in monthly team meetings.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education/Qualification

• College degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent acceptable with acceptable experience.
• Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
• Stay current with code requirements, and industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Team environment, fire alarm experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in test equipment, networking PC skills, and physical demands.

Physical Requirements

• Industrial, commercial, and residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels.
• Standing, walking, climbing stairs, and climbing ladders.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.

Pay Rate

$25 to $35 hourly based on experience.
