About the role
We are seeking a Fire Alarm Test & Inspect Technician responsible for independently performing inspection, testing, and basic troubleshooting of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
Key Duties
- Conducting device activation, system checks, and alarm verification
- Documenting inspection results accurately
- Identifying deficiencies and performing minor repairs
- Interpreting system drawings and technical documents
- Maintaining tools and equipment
- Communicating findings with customers and teams
- Adhering to safety policies and procedures
- Traveling to job sites as needed
Qualifications And Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 and relevant codes
- NICET Level I and FASA/BASA certifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 50+ pounds and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Capable of working independently on standard jobs without supervision
