Fire Alarm Engineer 3 with Security Clearance

About the role

M.C. Dean is seeking a Fire Alarm Foreman with Security Clearance for their location in Bethesda, MD. The position also includes opportunities for Fire Alarm Technician 3 - Washington, DC and Fire Alarm and Suppression Technician roles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of fire alarm technicians.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
• Perform inspections and tests on fire alarm systems.
• Resolve complex issues related to fire alarm systems.
• Prepare reports and documentation as required.

Requirements

• Fire Alarm Systems Level III certification preferred.
• Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
• Have finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers.
• Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
• Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
• Identify and understand the speech of another person.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in fire alarm systems.
• Experience in supervising and coordinating activities of fire alarm technicians.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding fire alarm systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer software used for fire alarm system management.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
