Fire Alarm / Electronic Security Systems Install Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Pulling and feeding wires.
• Maintain strong knowledge of proper wire securing guidelines per state electrical code.
• Diagnose and locate wire structure and connection issues.
• Install security system, fire alarm system, CCTV, and other access control devices.
• Complete work in accordance with applicable electrical code requirements and regulations.
• Test and troubleshoot security system, fire alarm system, CCTV, and other access control devices / networks as needed.
• Read and follow building plans, electrical designs and other blueprints as needed to perform the installation.
• Keep track of project deadlines, work time, travel time, materials, receipts, inventory, and other information needed to complete the project.
• Always abide by OSHA and code regulations.
• Operate work vehicles, scissor lifts, boom lifts, power tools and all other work-related items safely at all times.
• Adhere to clients' safety standards wherever applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Professional Qualifications

• C-6 Electrical Journeyperson license required (low-voltage).
• E-2 also accepted.
• MA / RI / etc Low Voltage Electrical License preferred.
• NICET certifications preferred.
• Bosch experience preferred, but will train.
• 1+ years experience in installation of low voltage electrical systems.
• OSHA 10 certified.

• Demonstrated ability to work safely according to OSHA standards, including the safe operation of vehicles, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and power tools.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
