Fire Alarm CAD Application Designer

Responsibilities • Create and revise detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. • Develop and maintain drawing standards, templates, and libraries. • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure drawings meet project requirements. • Review and interpret project specifications, codes, and standards. • Assist in the development of new design tools and workflows. • Perform quality checks on drawings before release. • Maintain organized drawing files and documentation. Requirements • Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, or related field. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in fire alarm, security, or life safety systems. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. • Strong understanding of construction documents and shop drawings. • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NFPA, IBC, etc.). • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with BIM 360, Navisworks, or other collaboration tools. • Familiarity with scripting or automation in AutoCAD/Revit. • Experience in the fire alarm or security industry. Pay

$25–$65 hourly wage.
