Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily FIP inspection activities, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Lead, train, coach, and evaluate FIP Inspectors to ensure performance expectations are met.
- Perform and oversee visual inspections of vehicles, including walking around vehicles to inspect for defects, damages, and imperfections.
- Review and validate inspection documentation (VCR/CPO) and ensure accurate data entry into the JLR system or other required systems.
- Oversee inspection of functional operations including doors, window locks, seatbelts, steering, compartments, seat covers, emergency releases, keys, and related components.
- Authorize vehicle release for further service and/or additional work as needed.
- Monitor yard and operational safety practices, including ensuring a spotter is present when vehicles are backing up.
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies, OEM requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Address inspection discrepancies, escalate quality concerns, and coordinate corrective actions as necessary.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing coverage, and overtime coordination as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- A valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security.
- Experience operating automatic and manual (straight shift) vehicles.
- Prior experience in vehicle inspection, quality control, or automotive operations.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Working Conditions
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work at heights of approximately 15 feet.
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 20 lbs.
- Extended periods of standing, kneeling, and bending.
- Exposure to outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other environmental conditions.
