Finishing Associate - 1st Shift
About the role
Buck Company LLC is seeking a Finishing Associate for their 1st shift position. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of metal castings prepared for customers.
Responsibilities
- Precision Finishing: Operate industrial grinding devices to remove excess metal from castings.
- Initial Processing: Use gate-breakers and hammers for casting preparation and separation.
- Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough quality checks, identify and sort castings based on type and standards.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety policies and quality protocols.
- Participate in cross-training opportunities to broaden skill set and contribute flexibly across the production floor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand for long periods in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Demonstrated reliability for 2nd Shift operations.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Clear communication skills, including comprehension of instructions and acceptance of coaching and mentoring.
- Proven adherence to safety policies.
- Previous experience or knowledge related to metal casting defects or industrial finishing is a plus.
Qualifications
