About the role
This entry-level, part-time position supports our production team by processing work orders, locating products, and packing orders for shipment according to the production schedule and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Pick and package a variety of materials using a limited assortment of packing procedures and techniques
- Place, arrange, mark, seal, and tag items on pallets and in containers, bins, and bulk storage
- Consolidate various items for shipment following standard operating instructions
- Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping
- Count and sort various product items
- Perform related tasks such as placing labels on packages and handling boxes in preparation for shipping
- Ensure accurate shipping information is attached
- Produce at quantity and quality levels in accordance with production requirements
- Maintain area, worktables, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition
- Run Die Cutter as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of routine picking procedures, techniques, equipment, and basic warehouse procedures preferred
- Skilled in reading specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders
- Demonstrated mechanical ability and ability to use various assembly tools
- Basic arithmetic skills to measure, count, and weigh products and materials
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety oriented
Physical Requirements
- Use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending
- Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity, and coordination
- Near visual acuity
- Ability to work around and operate departmental equipment
- Ability to access and navigate each department in the facility
- Ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances
