About the role

Finish-End Utility employees work on a manufacturing line completing a variety of tasks at different points of the process. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on meeting production demands while maintaining a clean work area and adhering to company rules and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Understand Beam grades and grade each Beam by visually inspecting all four sides.
• Use hand tools, machinery, tapes, calipers, and size gauges to ensure Beams meet size specifications.
• Notify supervisor immediately of any quality issues.
• Follow all mixing instructions for beam assembly.
• Maintain constant alertness and work within safety guidelines at all times.
• Know and utilize all Lock-out/Tag-out procedures associated with your duties.
• Report any potential machinery defects or safety risks immediately; repair safety risks when possible.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; use downtime for cleanup and minor maintenance.

Requirements

• Understand fundamentals of Lam Beam lay-ups, grades, and wrapping.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Work with and promote a teamwork environment.
• Work with limited supervision.
• Promote and support a strong safety culture.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
