Finish Carpenter

Location: Baytown, TX

Pay

$28.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 8 hour days

Responsibilities

• Install commercial retail fixtures and architectural millwork for new-store buildouts and renovation projects.
• Identify high and low points in walls and floors before beginning installation.
• Level, plumb, shim, scribe, and fit millwork to uneven walls and flooring.
• Install cabinets, counters, wall panels, fillers, finished end panels, portals, shelving, slatwall, peg wall, and retail display fixtures.
• Make accurate miters, bevel cuts, rip cuts, crosscuts, coping cuts, notches, and field modifications.
• Properly align reveals, seams, joints, doors, drawers, panels, and adjoining fixture sections.
• Use appropriate commercial fasteners and anchors for metal studs, wood blocking, masonry, and concrete.
• Protect finished materials and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Requirements

• Previous commercial retail fixture, architectural millwork, cabinet, or finish-carpentry installation experience is required.
• Experience working on full commercial new-store buildouts is strongly preferred.
• Strong finish-carpentry and joinery skills.
• Ability to make precise cuts without damaging finished materials.
• Ability to read measurements, layouts, plans, and installation drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
