About the Role

As a Fingerprint Technician and Medical Assistant, you will verify official identification documents, capture high-quality electronic biometric data for background checks, manage and care for clients, and perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Fingerprint Technician

  • Greet applicants, manage appointments, and guide clients through the enrollment process with patience and professionalism.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding applicant background checks, data records, and PII (Personally Identifiable Information) in alignment with privacy laws and regulations.
  • Inspect legal and government-issued identification documents (driver's licenses, passports) to confirm applicant identity.
  • Provide fingerprint-based background checks for employment, licensing, and other security purposes.
  • Accurately enter demographic and tracking data into secure processing systems, confirm scheduling queues, and manage daily client flow.
  • Operate specialized Live Scan digital fingerprinting equipment and capture clear images meeting strict quality standards.
  • Perform secure data entry, manage paperwork, and safeguard confidential client and patient personal information.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and upkeep of the area and equipment.

Medical Assistant

  • Provide information, services, and assistance to clients and patients at PRIME on-site events and various PRIME Clinics.
  • Maintain medical supplies inventory and perform preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating, including sterilization of medical instruments.
  • Verify patient information and medical histories by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
  • Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; drug & alcohol screening, audiograms, EKG's, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test; and reporting patient history summary.
  • Save doctors' time by helping with office procedures.
  • Assist in injury care.
  • Perform phlebotomy services and give injections.
  • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential.
  • Update and file medical records according to State and Federal laws.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Enhance practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Take and record messages.
  • Must have the ability to take on-call duties on a rotating basis and provide services to surrounding PRIME locations and on-site.
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have dependable transportation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass the IDEMIA background check requirements such as Federal and State background checks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant required.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Repetitive motion.

  • Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Work is performed in a medical clinic setting and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages, and other items, to walk short distances, climb stairs, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.
