Duties/Responsibilities
- Communicates with all knitting personal on machine performance issues.
- Documents issues on the “white communication board”.
- Informs Master Technician, Head Technician or Manager of any parts on-hand issues.
- Review the machine’s LCD to evaluate production and stops to determine potential issues.
- Communicates yarn performance issues to the Manager.
- Participates in shift meetings.
- Performs weekly machine maintenance on assigned machines to meet expectations per the audit conducted by the Master Technician, Head Technician or Manager.
- Performs style and size changes within capabilities.
- Makes repairs and replaces parts per capabilities.
- Re-needle and sinker the knitting machines as needed.
- Helps out with Knitter, Senior Inspector or Inspector duties as needed.
- Keeps work areas clean.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- 2-3 years minimum experience required in circular knitting environment
- Knowledge of Circular Knitting Machines to include Lonati and Santoni
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed
- Ability to work with little or no direct supervision
