About the role
Giro Pack, Inc. is seeking two (2) Knitting Operator Trainees to join their team at the Vidalia, GA location.
Responsibilities
- Ensure knitting machines are operated correctly and report any shortcomings to the supervisor/maintenance in a timely manner
- Complete required production forms
- Maintain/Lube production machinery as needed
- Stand for long periods of time
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Ensure knitting material and core material are properly stocked
- Transfer scrap materials to assigned area
- Scan/transport finished products to assigned area
- Conduct other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements and skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety rules
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Very good vision and ability to handle intricate, detail oriented work
- Warehouse experience is an asset, but not necessary
- Must be able/willing to work a flexible schedule
