The Fine Dining Server at Basalt is responsible for providing attentive, knowledgeable, and elevated service to guests throughout their dining experience. This position requires strong familiarity with fine dining etiquette, wine service, and culinary details.

Onsite: Black Desert Resort – Basalt
Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time
Pay Rate: $7.25/hour plus tips. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide an exceptional fine dining experience from start to finish.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and offer recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary needs.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the menu, wine list, and pairing options, including preparation methods and ingredient details.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system promptly.
- Serve multiple courses with precision and attentiveness, following fine dining standards for presentation and timing.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless food and drink delivery.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, anticipate needs, and resolve any service concerns professionally.
- Set and reset tables meticulously, ensuring place settings, glassware, and linens are perfect.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Absorb other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
Excellent verbal communication and guest service skills.
Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, food ingredients, and formal dining etiquette.
Ability to multi-task, remain calm under pressure, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Professional, polished appearance and a passion for hospitality and service excellence.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service and possess or obtain required certifications.
