Find Your Next Book Publishing Role
Full-time • $70k – $90k • The Woodlands, TX
About the role
Own the conversion funnel. Turn attention into revenue. Obsess over the numbers. Every Brave Books launch succeeds or fails based on conversion. A YouTuber drives attention to a landing page. The landing page converts that attention into orders. Our email sequences, paid ads, and bundles either make that conversion rate 15% or 3%. We have creative campaigns and strong conversion ops. What we need is someone who obsesses over why conversions work, tests ruthlessly, and squeezes every dollar of return from every dollar of spend.
Responsibilities
- Campaign management across channels: oversee email sequences, landing page optimization, ad spend allocation, and promotional calendar for each launch.
- Conversion rate obsession: A/B test headlines, bundle structures, social proof, urgency mechanisms, and call-to-action; quantify the revenue impact of small conversion improvements.
- Email automation and segmentation: design sequences that reach the right people with the right offer at the right time; test subject lines, send times, and offer structures to maximize opens, clicks, and conversions.
- Paid ads and ROAS: own ad spend allocation across Facebook, TikTok, YouTube; identify high-converting audiences, cut underperformers, and scale winners.
- Analytics and reporting: build dashboards showing customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, return on ad spend, and email conversion rates; surface what’s working and what needs to change fast.
- Cross-functional partnership: collaborate with product, ops, creative, and sales to align on what’s being sold, fulfillment and cost, resonant messaging, and sales impact.
- Test and learn culture: run constant experiments; extract learning from each and apply it to the next campaign.
Requirements
- Numbers person who understands people: love spreadsheets and funnels while recognizing that people make emotional decisions; think strategically about psychology, not just metrics.
- Ruthless prioritization: say “no” to 90% of ideas that won’t move the needle; focus on high-impact opportunities.
- Self-directed and resourceful: take a campaign brief, identify the real questions, design the tests, implement them, and report back without daily check-ins.
- Bias toward action: run tests with 70% of the information and learn rather than wait three weeks for perfect data; believe fast learning beats slow perfection.
Bonus
- Ecommerce or direct response background.
- Email marketing experience.
- DTC launch campaign management.
- YouTube or creator economy fluency.
