Finanical Analyst

Primary Responsibilities

• Aids in monthly, quarterly, and annual budgetary oversight and budget formulation, execution, and justification.
• Performs financial analyses related to invoice reconciliation, budget forecast, and procurement status.
• Aides government program managers by providing data-driven financial insights, regular status reports, and actionable recommendations to optimize portfolio spend.
• Ensures all financial activities, tracking, and reporting align with federal regulations, guidelines, and agency-specific policies.

Education And/or Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in financial analysis, federal budgeting, or government contracting accounting.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Strong understanding of federal budget execution, contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF), and accounting principles.
• Advanced capability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret large, complex financial datasets to identify trends and build accurate forecasts.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and advanced formulas) and experience using automated financial management systems or ERPs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills and accuracy when reconciling invoices and reviewing budgetary allocations.
