Duties & Responsibilities

  • Empower Members to achieve financial peace of mind by providing personalized coaching, financial education, and tailored solutions that support their unique goals.
  • Serve as a trusted partner throughout their financial journey while helping advance CommunityAmerica's mission of people helping people through:
    • Personalized Financial Coaching & Member Life Planning – Provide one-on-one financial coaching and develop customized Member Life Plans that help Members navigate life's financial opportunities and challenges.
    • Deliver proactive guidance that reduces financial stress and supports long-term financial success.
  • Lead engaging workshops, webinars, and in-branch educational experiences that strengthen financial literacy, empower Members, and support branch teams in delivering meaningful financial guidance.
  • Help Members take action toward their goals by connecting them with the right products, services, tools, and resources. Support account openings, lending solutions, and financial strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Partner with Mortgage, Wealth Management, Commercial Services, and other internal teams to deliver seamless, comprehensive financial solutions and an exceptional Member experience.
  • Champion solutions, technology, and processes that enhance financial well-being, simplify banking, and improve the Member experience across all channels.
  • Identify potential fraud and risk indicators, helping protect Members and the credit union while maintaining operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain advanced financial knowledge and certifications while sharing best practices, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent financial services experience required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in banking, financial services, wealth management, or a related field required.
  • Completion of the CUNA Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP) and CommunityAmerica Financial Well-Being Coach Training Program upon hire.
  • Strong financial coaching, relationship-building, and consultative communication skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, credit, debt management, lending, and long-term financial planning strategies.
  • Ability to analyze Member needs and recommend personalized financial solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Passion for helping others achieve financial well-being and creating meaningful Member relationships.
