About the role
Develops and manages documentation solutions to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and edits advanced business support documentation, including process flowcharts, SOPs, internal controls, Partner guides, templates, forms, and system user documentation and training for new systems.
- Identifies existing internal controls and gaps; consults with Senior Technical Writer and business on best practices to minimize risk.
- Provides guidance and identifies resources to improve existing processes and automation opportunities; offers an objective and broad view of processes within a department.
- Applies advanced knowledge and experience with best practices regarding documentation management; manages documentation life cycle by proactively ensuring periodic reviews and approvals.
- Assists with creating and maintaining documentation library structure.
- Guides internal users through documentation technologies and develops new types of documentation/templates.

Requirements
- Career individual contributor in a professional role; works independently with general instructions on new assignments and review of outcomes for technical soundness.
- Applies a broad range of theories, concepts, principles, and methodologies to assignments containing some elements of complexity.
- Majority of work is spent independently planning and completing the design, implementation, and/or delivery of processes, programs, and/or policies.
- May coach, direct, oversee, or review the work of lower-level professionals.
- Networks with more senior internal and external stakeholders who may be unfamiliar with the area of specialty.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred; Bachelor's degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience.
- Ability to understand accounting/finance and related business processes; advanced analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to successfully communicate with management and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Self-directed, motivated, and able to independently accomplish results with little supervision.
- Advanced PC skills (MS Office, Visio or Lucid, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Proficiency with documentation software and content-management tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
- Business or technical experience with communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience creating process documentation.
