About the Role

As a Financial Systems Support Specialist, you will be the lifeline for the business offices of school districts throughout the state. You will serve as the subject matter expert on the financial systems used by school districts to perform payroll, budgeting, accounting, and other financial activities vital to school operations. Your role will involve supporting clients with finance system software questions, advising on system utilization, troubleshooting issues, and interfacing with software vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for finance system software questions and troubleshooting.
  • Advise school districts on how to utilize financial systems to their fullest potential.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for systems used in payroll, budgeting, accounting, and other financial activities.
  • Interface with software vendors to resolve system issues.
  • Assist clients with technical and accounting/finance-related challenges to keep schools operational.

Requirements

  • College degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounting-related function such as Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bookkeeping, Budgeting, and/or Financial Analysis. Candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems.
  • Experience with Wincap and/or nVision is a plus.
  • Experience working in government or educational business offices or accounting is ideal but not required.
  • Passion for helping others, excellent customer service skills, and a drive for continuous learning and skill development.
