Financial Systems Administrator

About the role

This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for financial system functionality, user access, data integrity, and business process optimization. The Financial Systems Administrator partners with internal stakeholders and third-party users to ensure systems operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with organizational needs.

Responsibilities

Financial Systems Administration

  • Serve as subject matter expert for the Company’s property management and accounting system (Yardi).
  • Coordinate, test, and support system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Administer user access, security permissions, and account provisioning within financial systems, ensuring compliance with established security standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial and organizational data in accordance with company policies and security standards.
  • Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of financial system data and configurations.

User Support & Training

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal users and authorized third parties, resolving system issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop, maintain, and update system administration procedures, support documentation, training materials, and change management records.
  • Plan and deliver user training programs in both virtual and in-person environments to promote effective system utilization.

System Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Investigate, identify, and address root causes of system incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Evaluate business processes and proactively recommend and implement system enhancements, efficiencies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance system functionality, efficiency, data quality, and user experience.

Business Partnership & Governance

  • Partner with Accounting, Property Management, Information Technology, and other business groups to support operational and reporting needs.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, vendors, and system users to support operational and business objectives.
  • Participate as a member of corporate committees and cross-functional teams, including the Corporate Process and Compliance Committee.
  • Contribute to strategic projects and support the broader team in achieving departmental and organizational goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting, administering, or implementing financial, accounting, or property management systems required.
  • Previous experience supporting Yardi or similar property management and accounting software strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, database structures, and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls.
  • Knowledge of property management and real estate operations preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop training materials and deliver effective end-user training.
