Position Summary

This position assists with financial management activities for the Airport Improvement Program, supporting the Bureau’s state airport construction and aviation consulting services. This work includes tracking federally funded airport grants, reviewing and reconciling project invoices and financial records, supporting project closeout activities, and maintaining financial data in PeopleSoft and Excel. This position will work closely with financial staff to ensure accurate financial reporting while contributing to data cleanup efforts and the bureau’s transition to a new financial management system.

Salary Information

The position is in schedule-range (02-13) with a salary of $26.61, per hour.

Job Details

This state agency does not sponsor work visas. This state agency is not enrolled in USCIS E-Verify and is not eligible to employ international F-1 students seeking STEM-OPT extension. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.

A comprehensive criminal background check which may include FBI fingerprinting may be conducted prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this announcement.

This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and limited to 1,039 hours in 26 consecutive pay periods (1 year).

Wisconsin residency is required for Limited Term Employment positions.

Limitied Term Employment (LTE) positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to permanent civil service classified positions and do not lead to permanent status.

Qualifications

  • Experience with grant management
  • Experience performing auditing duties (e.g., creating reports; examining records, reports, and documentation to verify accuracy; completing audit paperwork)
  • Experience processing financial transactions (including functionality such as approval processes, financial transaction entries, vendor management, financial reports, or similar activities)
  • Experience utilizing Excel to create spreadsheets to track project expenditures or data
