About the Role

The purpose of the position is to support Turquoise Lodge Hospital by processing financial documents for purchases and timely payments to vendors by reviewing financial documents for accuracy and approvals. This includes requisition creation, obtaining necessary documentation for purchases, contracts, and budget tracking. Document management requires tracking, monitoring, requesting supporting documentation and tracking on MS Office software. This position will also assist with hospital, maintenance, and food inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Support Turquoise Lodge Hospital by processing financial documents for purchases and timely payments to vendors
  • Review financial documents for accuracy and approvals
  • Create requisitions and obtain necessary documentation for purchases, contracts, and budget tracking
  • Track, monitor, and request supporting documentation using MS Office software
  • Aid in hospital, maintenance, and food inventory
  • Utilize SHARE Financial for budget tracking, verifying expenditures per grant period, and ensuring accurate account codes and fiscal year federal spend down
  • Use Microsoft Excel (and pivot tables) to gather data from programs for monthly, quarterly, and annual data reports
  • Utilize Sage PeachTree for inventory tracking

Requirements

  • A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with SHARE Financial Reporting

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Six (6) months experience in bookkeeping, office administration, auditing, accounting, and/or finance
  • Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) months may substitute for the required experience

Employment Requirements

  • Nationwide criminal background check
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or certification as a condition of continued employment
  • Successful completion of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training

Working Conditions

  • Office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT)
  • Extensive personal computer use including working with computers, faxes, copiers, and printers
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, kneeling, and crawling
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Some travel may be required
