About the role

As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), your journey begins with obtaining your Securities Industry licenses, including dedicated and personalized classes for your Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 Exams. Once licensed, you will learn the foundational skills needed to be an advisor—acquiring, building, and managing client relationships while considering a client’s complex financial picture and guiding them with advice and solutions.

You will start working in a financial center, delivering Bank of America’s core banking, investment solutions, and client care approach. After demonstrating success as a licensed FSA I, you will typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, deepening relationships within a portfolio of clients. Successful performance opens opportunities for advancement within Bank of America and Merrill.

This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. You will be required to register with the federal registry system and submit to a background check. Failure to maintain SAFE Act registration may result in termination.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage client relationships, systematically identifying needs and recommending appropriate financial solutions.
  • Deliver end-to-end comprehensive advice, conduct client reviews, and recommend strategies to help clients achieve financial goals.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners to connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill solutions.
  • Earn required industry licenses (SIE within 30 days, Series 7 and 66 within 120 days).
  • Leverage relationships with one out of two U.S. households to grow your business.
  • Interact with banking customers, small business owners, and higher net worth clients.
  • Execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing client interests.

Requirements

  • Aptitude for obtaining required industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66).
  • Self-discipline in managing time and capacity.
  • Experience cultivating client relationships, assessing needs, and recommending solutions.
  • Ability to build strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on client interests.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or applications.

Desired Qualifications

  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE).
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required. Full-time role (40 hours per week, 1st shift). Training will occur at a financial center, followed by a potential phone-based role until a permanent financial center location is assigned within a reasonable commuting distance.
