About the role
EY's FSO tax practice provides comprehensive and specialized tax assistance tailored to the unique needs of the asset management industry. You will join our tax professionals who are knowledgeable and experienced with varied and specialized facets of hedge fund, private equity fund, and mutual fund taxation, including fund and organizational structuring, tax minimization planning, on-call advice, and tax compliance.
Responsibilities
- Implementing and optimizing tax compliance and reporting processes to meet business strategy and increase efficiency.
- Serving as a point of contact for tax compliance and reporting support, including tax provision and reform calculations.
- Developing and maintaining governance and compliance frameworks to support business alignment.
- Contributing to the delivery of tax compliance solutions and projects, applying sound judgment and selecting appropriate methodologies to inform recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree).
- No less than 2 - 4 years relevant experience or equivalent experience in the financial services industry.
- CPA license or a licensed Attorney is required or the ability to achieve one of these certifications.
- Familiarity with the financial services industry gained through direct involvement with managed investment vehicles.
- Broad exposure to federal income taxation and exposure to state and local tax.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and reporting requirements.
- Awareness of finance compliance and regulation.
- Understanding of global compliance requirements.
- Awareness of tax controversy matters.
- Experience with tax reform calculations.
- Familiarity with outsourcing/co-sourcing models.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Knowledge of tax accounting and tax provisions.

Benefits
Base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $91,100 to $150,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $109,400 to $170,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $109,400 to $170,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
Schedule
Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
