Financial Services Specialist or Officer I - South Salem Branch

About the role

Maps Credit Union seeks a driven, collaborative, and great communicator for our South Salem Branch in Salem, Oregon. This role is ideal for someone passionate about member service and helping people succeed financially.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Maps members in a professional and positive manner.
• Provide excellent customer service while processing account services.
• Enhance member relationships by assessing needs and recommending products and services.
• Process loan applications and obtain reports from credit reporting agencies.
• Function as a teller as needed.
• Accurately maintain and balance a cash drawer, checks, and money orders within established policy limits.
• Achieve personal and branch monthly goals.
• Follow regulatory and policy compliance requirements, as well as Credit Union operations and security procedures.

Financial Service Specialists and Officers receive in-house training from our Learning & Development team, on-the-job training, and access to additional industry-related classes.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Business, Economics, Banking, or equivalent financial services experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in customer service, including direct and indirect selling roles.
• Minimum of 2+ years in the financial industry with progressive responsibility (preferred).
• Must be bondable.
• Highest level of ethical behavior.

Pay

Starting pay range: $22.50 - $27.73 per hour, depending on experience. Bilingual positions receive an additional $0.50/hour pay differential. Opportunities to earn monthly incentives.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 8:45 AM–5:45 PM, Friday: 9:00 AM–6:15 PM, with rotating Saturday shifts from 9:30 AM–2:30 PM.
