Financial Services-Senior Consultant
About the role
Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Consultant in its Commercial Financial Services practice. This role involves delivering client engagements through analysis, solution development, and implementation support. The ideal candidate will have experience in banking and financial services consulting, with a focus on operational risk, compliance, and regulatory matters.
Responsibilities
- Execute discrete workstreams and produce high-quality, timely analyses and deliverables
- Conduct research, data analysis, and process assessments to inform client recommendations
- Develop clear, well-structured reports, presentations, and client-ready materials
- Support implementation of recommended solutions and operational improvements
- Collaborate with team and engagement leadership to track deliverables, timelines, and risks
- Work onsite at client locations in New York City and travel as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of experience in the banking industry or commercial financial services consulting
- Experience supporting projects in operational risk, compliance, banking regulations, and risk and controls assessments
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage workstreams and meet deadlines
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within and across teams
- Ability to work onsite at client locations in New York City and travel as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in management consulting
- Exposure to Global Systemically Important Banks (GSIBs)
- Prioritize professional certifications such as CPA, Lean Six Sigma, PMP
- Advanced degree (MBA, MA/MS in a related field)

Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $107,000.00 - $178,000.00.
