Responsibilities
- Counsel and cross-sell members on all services offered by Founders and make decisions on loans as specified in the Loan Originator section of Loan Policy.
- Understand and explain new eligibility requirements for membership.
- Open new accounts, account maintenance, ordering checks, and assist members with service-related issues.
- Recognize and cross-sell FFCU products and services, including Call 24, Online Banking, Mobile Banking, eStatements, Visa Debit/Credit Cards, ATM cards, etc.
- Maintain share certificates and IRAs, and counsel members on account features and benefits.
- Manage individual cash box and comply with regulatory and procedural guidelines.
- Process plastic card applications, issue cards, change PIN numbers, and assist with card-related issues.
- Interview applicants, read and understand credit reports, and cross-sell Founders loan products.
- Offer additional products like GAP, extended warranties, payment protection, etc.
- Refer members to Founders Investment and Insurance Service agents.
- Approve loans within Matrix Lending authority guidelines and seek further approval for larger requests.
- Provide assistance with collecting delinquent accounts, verifying loan closings, and ensuring proper documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in a financial institution handling complex member issues, or two years of customer service experience.
- Associate degree (2-year degree).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with members.
- Efficient, accurate, and independent work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants strongly encouraged, though not required.
