About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a Legal & Accounting environment.

Location: Dallas, TX - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on financial compliance regulations
  • Provide legal guidance on licensing/chartering for financial institutions
  • Evaluate compliance protocols for money services businesses and payment systems
  • Assist in managing third-party risk assessments and compliance strategies
  • Draft and review legal documents related to financial transactions and regulatory compliance

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience, particularly in banking and FinTech
  • Expertise in licensing/chartering and knowledge of financial services laws (BSA/AML, sanctions)
  • Experience with third-party risk management and consumer compliance is essential
  • Strong academic background with robust legal research, analysis, and writing skills
  • Attention to detail with a proactive, diligent, and client-oriented mindset
  • Admission to or eligibility for admission in relevant jurisdiction is required

Fluency in Spanish is a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clients.

Pay

$260,000 – $365,000 annually
