Financial Services Regulatory & Compliance Associate (Senior Level)
About the role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a senior level Associate in the Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice. The position is full-time and can be based in Miami, DC, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Phoenix or Dallas.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients, large and small, from various industries across the country.
- Provide legal advice and counsel on financial services regulatory and compliance matters, particularly in banking, money services businesses, payment systems, and FinTech firms.
- Handle licensing/chartering matters and ensure compliance with key financial services laws and regulations such as BSA/AML, sanctions, third-party risk management, and consumer compliance.
- Gain enforcement experience to enhance expertise and client service.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience, especially in banking, money services businesses, payment systems, and FinTech firms.
- Strong academic background with excellent legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
- A strong commitment to client service and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
- Admission to or eligibility for admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Pay
The expected pay range for this position is $260,000 - 365,000 per year. Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job-related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average.
Schedule
Full-time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
