Financial Services Regulatory & Compliance Associate (Mid-Level)
About the role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a mid-level Associate in the Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice. The position is full-time and can be based in Miami, DC, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Phoenix, or Dallas.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients, large and small, from various industries across the country
- Provide legal advice and counsel on financial services regulatory and compliance matters
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance strategies
- Participate in enforcement proceedings and investigations
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive solutions to complex legal issues
Requirements
- Between 3 and 5 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience (particularly in banking, money services businesses, payment systems, and FinTech firms)
- Experience with licensing/chartering and knowledge of key financial services laws and regulations (BSA/AML, sanctions, third-party risk management, and consumer compliance)
- Enforcement experience is a plus

Pay
The expected pay range for this position is $260,000 - 365,000 per year. Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job-related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average.
Schedule
Full-time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
